“CHATROOM” OFFICIAL SELECTION UN CERTAIN REGARD CANNES FILM FESTIVAL 2010
“1001 INVENTIONS & THE LIBRARY OF SECRETS” WINS MAJOR AWARDS
The film “1001 Inventions and the Library of Secrets”, starring Oscar-winning actor Sir Ben Kingsley and produced by The Edge Picture Company with 1stAD Marco Ciglia, has won eight major industry awards at the 53rd New York Festivals® International Television & Film Awards held on 3rd May 2010 in New York.
The film won the most prestigious award of the evening, Grand Winner for Best Film in addition to five gold medals and two silver medals.

Receiving awards st the 53rd New York Festivals® International Television & Film Awards
It also recently won four major industry awards at the 29th International Visual Communications Association (IVCA) award ceremony in London, 26th March 2010. Judges commended the short film saying it was “in a league of its own” awarding it four prestigious awards:

“1 DAY” RELEASED ON UK DVD 12 APRIL 2010.
Marco was 1stAD on this film, the first ever British hip hop musical. The film explores life for many young men in the Afro-Caribbean community which originated the urban music at its heart. It premiered at the 2009 BFI London Film Festival hit UK cinemas Nov 2009 and now comes to DVD.
“DEEP AND CRISP AND EVEN” AIRS MONDAY 21 DEC 2009 AT 10PM ON SKY1

In November Marco worked as 1stAD on “DEEP AND CRISP AND EVEN” the first of a season of films for Sky1. Shooting out of Shepperton Studios the short film was produced by Hilary Bevan Jones and Tim Bricknell for Endor Prods and features Timothy Spall and Natascha McElhone. “DEEP AND CRISP AND EVEN” airs on December 21st at 10PM on Sky1.
REGENT PICKS UP “EICHMANN” FOR THEATRICAL
RELEASE STATESIDE MARCH 2010

Marco worked on this film as 1stAD shooting in Malta and Hungary. Now Regent Releasing and Here Media have acquired North American distribution rights to the motion picture “Eichmann” from U.K.-based Entertainment Motion Pictures and will distribute the pic in cinemas March 2010. The film is based on the final confession of Adolf Eichmann. Pic was directed by Robert Young (”Fierce Creatures”) and stars Thomas Kretschmann (”Wanted,” “Valkyrie”) as Eichmann, along with Troy Garity and Franka Potente. Peter Bevan and Karl Richards produced.
SCREENVISION PICK UP “BALLET SHOES” FOR US THEATRICAL 2009

Marco was 1stAD on this movie which was shot at Pinewood and on Location in the UK. Screenvision the distributor will feature the film in 171 theaters in 77 markets across 35 states. Ballet Shoes stars Emma Watson (star of the “Harry Potter” franchise) as one of three orphans who were adopted and raised as sisters. They vow to put their names in history books as an actor, an aviator and a dancer.
